Summer is morphing into autumn extremely slowly this year. Corn and squash are costarring right now, while choruses of cherry tomatoes sing out from baskets in every corner of the market. Tourist and New Yorkers alike form an appreciative audience sitting in Uncle Mayor Mike's popular little plaza on the northern edge of the market to enjoy the bounty of this overlapping harvest.
